Representatives of Thane and Navi Mumbai business community met Uddhav Thackeray recently, along with their counterparts from 24 other municipal corporations, on 25th July 2014, to urge him to bat for removal of the prevailing local body tax (LBT) and bring a single window tax structure.
During the meet, Thackeray reportedly assured them that he will take serious steps to set the traders free from octroi in Mumbai and LBT elsewhere.
